About the Opportunity

A Café Barista plays a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of a cafe. We are looking for an experienced front of house assistant with a little work in the kitchen.

• Taking orders, operating cash register and POS Station.
• Service of hot and cold beverages and food items.
• Preparing and serving coffee, tea, and other beverages.
• Operating espresso machines and ensuring quality drinks.
• Supporting all aspects of food preparation, quality control and food display.
• Ensuring adequate stock levels of supplies and consumables for Café area and stock rotation.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene within the Café and all areas pertaining to the Café ensuring food handling and health and safety guidelines are met.
• Remove food scraps, empty and clean Café bins, and wash, dry and store all crockery and utensils in order to provide a safe and hygienic work environment.
• Strip, clean, reassemble and maintain all food preparation and cooking appliances.
• Ensure day to day activities align with business operation as directed by your supervisor.

About You

• Must be able to work Full Time hours.
• Previous experience as a Barista for at least 12 months.
• A Visa that is valid for the next 12 months.
• All certificates and tickets required for food preparation and service.
• Can start IMMEDIATELY and stay for the entire contract and understand that there is no work during school. holidays
• Strong team player and fantastic communication skills.
